Pro Con Inc continuing work on $19.8 million Brightview North Andover

Construction is continuing for Brightview North Andover, a new senior living community located at 1275 Turnpike Rd. The $19.8 million project is being developed by Shelter Development of Baltimore and will be operated by Brightview Senior Living. Pro Con Inc of Manchester, N.H. is the project architect and construction manager for the community, which will be the fifth Brightview facility in Massachusetts. "The foundations and concrete slabs for all three wings of the building have been completed," said the project manager for Pro Con Inc. "The roof trusses are being placed and the steel framing will begin this month." Brightview North Andover will have 133 units including 65 apartments for independent living, 41 apartments for assisted living and 27 apartments for Alzheimer's and dementia care. The apartments, which are all under one roof, will offer the residents a variety of floor plans and care options. The 4-story, 140,530-s/f apartment home community will offer a social environment where housekeeping, dining, transportation, and maintenance are provided by a staff. The community will feature full-service independent living apartments on a monthly rental basis with no large entrance fee. The all-inclusive monthly fee will include private 1 or 2-bedroom apartment homes, exterior and interior maintenance including appliances, full kitchens, washer/dryer, housekeeping, chef-prepared meals, transportation, utilities, a full-time program director to coordinate daily programs and social events. Community amenities will include a fitness center, beauty/barber shop, internet café, pub, movie theater and game room. Pro Con Inc began site work on Brightview North Andover in February 2012 and the senior living community is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013. Brightview North Andover is one of several Brightview projects Pro Con Inc has managed including Brightview Danvers, which was completed in 2007 and Brightview Concord River in Billerica which was completed in 2009. Based in Baltimore, MD, Brightview Senior Living, LLC opened its first senior living community in Maryland in 1997. Today, Brightview offers twenty-four communities in nine states - Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. The communities include Independent Living, Assisted Living and Dementia Care options. Brightview is committed to creating vibrant senior living communities by providing excellent service and creating environments that are great places to live and great places to work.
