Pro Con Inc. completes Gordon College project

Pro Con Inc was the architect and construction manager for the design build renovation of Easton Dining Hall and Gillies Cafe in the three story Lane Student Center on the campus of Gordon College. Plans called for the Easton Dining Hall to be updated with new interior finishes including new flooring, wainscoting on the walls, valences, and paint. The existing raised platform seating areas were removed and replaced with 12 high-backed wood booths around the room's perimeter. A combination of free-standing dining tables of various sizes provide seating in the remainder of the room, enabling the hall to offer seating for 542 persons. New 6-foot diameter energy efficient lighting chandeliers have been suspended from the 28-foot ceiling. The second phase of the project entailed building a new entrance vestibule for Gillies Café and enlarging the café by removing two interior walls. The additional space enables booth seating along the room's perimeter along with new lighting fixtures. New flooring was installed and the interior walls have been repainted.
