New England SIORs handle $1.5 million deals during summer of 2009

The New England SIOR Chapter members during the spring and summer of 2009 completed a number of major advisory and transactional assignments. Corporate America and regional corporations indicated the SIORs are the premium brokers in the office/industrial New England real estate markets whom they entrust for expert knowledge and skills. The spring and summer of 2009 experienced approximately 1,538,713 s/f of commercial real estate valued at approximately $80,565,930 represents that trust.
* Tom Moulton, SIOR of NAI Dunham Group sold an office building at 300 Southborough Dr., S. Portland, Me. to Metro 300, LLC from Scarborough Holdings, LLC. The property contained 116,515 s/f of Class A office space.
* John Hennessey, SIOR of GVA Thompson Hennessey represented NetVersant Solutions in its recent 10,100 s/f lease at The Schrafft Center in Charlestown.
* Tony McDonald, SIOR of CBRE/Boulos represented TD Bank in its expansion to 60,000 s/f of retail space at the Auburn Mall, Auburn, Me. McDonald also assisted MaineHealth with its acquisition at 14 Sawyer Rd., Scarborough, Me.
* Drew Sigfridson, SIOR of CBRE/Boulos leased 6,500 s/f of warehouse space to NH Bragg at 17 Patrick Dr., Portland, Me. Sigfridson also leased to Stanford Management, LLC in its lease of 3,620 s/f of office space in the Nathan Winslow Block at 245 Commercial St., Portland, Me.
* Tom Farrelly, SIOR of Cushman & Wakefield sold Summit Business Center for $17 million to Chelsea Properties. The property contains 170 acres of industrial land master-planned for over one million s/f of office, R&D and light industrial development located in Merrrimack, N.H.
* Tom Dunham, SIOR of NAI Dunham Group leased 3,996 s/f on Minot Ave., Auburn, Me. to Weatherization Wizards.
* John McKinley, SIOR of Kelleher & Sadowsky sold 45 Sword St., Auburn for $650,000. The property contains 11,890 s/f of warehouse space and was sold to the House of Spices.
* Neil Amper, SIOR and Tom Sweeney, SIOR of Rodman RE leased 5,586 s/f of office space to Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services at 1057 Mineral Spring Ave., N. Providence, R.I. Amper also sold a 36,000 s/f industrial building located at 15 Oak St., Smithfield, R.I. to MMW, Inc. for $500,000. The company repairs machine tools and is relocating from its Seekonk location.
* Peter Hayes, SIOR of Hayes & Sherry leased 8,895 s/f at One West Exchange St., Providence, R.I. to LIN Television Corp. Hayes also represented CoWorx Staffing Services in the 3,500 s/f office lease at Davol Square in the Jewelry District, Providence, R.I.
* Mike Giuttari, SIOR of MG Commercial RE sold the 34,000 s/f facility at 601 Park East Dr., Lincoln, R.I. for $1.75 million to LSI Retail Graphics for Tytex. Subsequently Giuttari moved Tytex into a new 2,200 s/f office at 614 George Washington Hwy., Lincoln, R.I.
* Rob Nahigian, SIOR of Auburndale Realty Co. represented Merrimack Warehouse Nominee Trust leasing 7,200 s/f of its warehouse space at 95D Fitchburg Rd., Ayer. Nahigian has completed a warehouse lease of 33,600 s/f at 95 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer to Superclean Brands.
* Garry Holmes, SIOR of RW Holmes leased 75,000 s/f of R&D/office space to APC at Forest Ridge Park, Billerica for the landlord K&L Realty. Holmes and Chip Detwiller, SIOR represented KLR in its office lease of 15,111 s/f at Watermill Center, 800 South St., Waltham. KLR is a full service accounting firm headquartered in Providence, R.I.
* Jim Boudrot, SIOR of NAI Hunneman recently leased 105,000 s/f of office space to multiple tenants in the Greater Boston suburbs. Recent leases include: Broad Institute for 17,000 s/f in Cambridge; Visiting Nurses Association for 30,000 s/f in Lawrence; Intrinsic Therapeutics for 21,300 s/f in Woburn; and Buyer Advertising for 12,200 s/f in Newton. Other leases included Onset Technologies in Waltham, Odyssey Systems in Wakefield and Burlington, and Context Vision in Newton.
