Studio G Architects promotes key team members
Boston, MA Studio G Architects has promoted eight members of the team that are critical to the success of the firm.
Steve Michener and Gabriela Shelburne have been promoted to principal. Michener has been with the company since 2007 and has proven to be a key member with the design and technical execution of education and civic projects. Through his support in Studio G’s largest projects, Michener has shown his ability to lead successful projects and offer counsel and direction to teams in design through construction phases. Shelburne has been with Studio G Architects since 2011 and has demonstrated both internal and external leadership. She has been a clear and articulate champion of Studio G’s mission and contributes significantly to all project types. For the past few years, she has led the housing studio.
Additionally, Studio G promoted Marylee Mercy to project manager/staff architect 3 and Ali Horwitz to staff architect 2/co-BIM coordinator. In Mercy’s 5 years at the company, she has proven herself in both design and project management roles. Mercy’s ALEP certification has positioned her as a leader in school pursuits. Horwitz has also been a critical leader in school pursuits as her design contributions and collaboration with other team members have positively affected the workplace.
David Evancho and Sam Maloney have also been promoted to senior project captain and project captain, and Anthony Rodriguez to project captain/co-BIM coordinator. Over the last eight years, Evancho has shown increasing contributions and leadership in larger projects. Maloney is always willing to take on more responsibility and has a great understanding of high-performance building designs. Rodriguez has a strong commitment to Studio G’s mission and to high-quality designs. Together, these team members will help elevate Studio G’s tremendous work.
Lastly, Thomas Shannon has been promoted to designer 2. Shannon’s flexibility, desire to learn, and commitment to constant growth make him an exceptional designer. His ideas, particularly in sustainable building designs, exemplify his exponentially improving skills.
