The Village Bank awards 18 scholarships to Class of 2024 students
Newton, MA According to Joseph A. De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, the Auburndale Community Charitable Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $52,000 to 18 local students.
Phoebe Anthony of Newton South High School and Ethan Holson of Boston College High School each received a $10,000 scholarship. Both were selected for their academic achievement and their active involvement as leaders in community and charitable causes.
In addition, 16 students from local high schools were awarded $2,000 scholarships:
- Madeline Bonneau - North Attleboro High School;
- Benjamin Brambilla - Newton North High School;
- Gabriella Bonadio - Newton North High School;
- Azaila Cole - Needham High School;
- Jackson Frye - King Philip Regional High School;
- Davis Gruber - Wayland High School;
- Jack Henry - Belmont High School;
- Elias King - Newton South High School;
- Owen Oates - Boston College High School;
- Michelle Prince - Wayland High School;
- Elyssa Rosen - Newton South High School;
- Quinnlyn Ryan - Northshore Academy;
- Ava Salemme - Newton North High School;
- Taylor Settles - New Hampton High School;
- Brendan Tourgee - Canton High School; and
- Daniel Viveiros - Newton North High School.
“Congratulations to our 2024 scholarship recipients! We are thrilled to continue our annual tradition of supporting the educational goals of the students within the community while recognizing their amazing achievements,” De Vito said.
Since its inception in 1998, The Auburndale Community Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships. The scholarships are funded in part by the Bank’s Annual Golf Classic held each fall.
