Vantage Builders, Inc. completes 8,200 s/f project for Teleflex Medical OEM
Jaffrey, NH Vantage Builders, Inc. has completed an 8,200 s/f, ground-up construction project for Teleflex Inc. at its Teleflex Medical OEM facility.
The project consisted of the construction of a new extrusion tower. The tower was needed to meet the expanding demand for Teleflex Medical OEM’s precision extrusion and access devices used in cardiology, neurology, radiology, and other areas.
Teleflex’s new extrusion tower consists of four stories and was built as an addition to its existing facility at 50 Plantation Dr. As the facility runs 24/7, the project required careful coordination and scheduling between the project team members and Teleflex. Additionally, the Vantage team and the subcontractors put in extended hours onsite and performed weekend work when required.
The Vantage team began with site work to prepare the area. The project included new concrete foundations, structural steel, and significant systems work. The tower features new, dedicated MEP and fire protection, connected into Teleflex’s existing systems. The walls of the tower feature exterior thermal and moisture insulation with matching metal paneling. Epoxy flooring throughout provides safety and maintenance benefits.
“It’s very rewarding to work on projects for clients who are involved in life-saving work, like Teleflex,” said John Connor, principal, Vantage Builders. “Always key to the success of any project is open, frequent communication and that was particularly the case with the new extrusion tower. Our team managed communication among Teleflex, the architects, engineers, subcontractors, owner representatives, and town officials to keep the project on schedule.”
The project team included Lavallee Bresinger Architects, NV5, CBRE, and Miller Engineering & Testing.
