MassHire Greater Brockton Workforce Board names Hunter executive director
Brockton, MA MassHire Greater Brockton Workforce Board has appointed Jason Hunter as the next executive director. Born and raised in the region, Hunter has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit world and has been proven to be a leader in the field. A graduate of Bridgewater State University, Hunter has roots in the community that make him a natural to understand the needs of the community and workforce at large. Hunter has served as director of operations, a position that has helped to prepare him for the executive director role.
Chairman of the board, Joe Lovetere, said “The board is pleased to support the appointment of Jason Hunter as executive director. Jason, having served alongside former ED Sheila Sullivan Jardim, has vast program knowledge and expertise which will serve the organization and its team members well, now and in the years ahead. He has the board’s full support.”
The MassHire Greater Brockton Workforce Board is one of 16 Workforce Boards statewide working to build links between the business community and the workforce. Under The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) the board oversees and implements workforce development activities in the Greater Brockton region.
