Winchester Savings Bank elects Merritt to the board of trustees
Winchester, MA According to John Carroll, president and CEO of Winchester Savings Bank, Edward Merritt has been appointed to the board of trustees. Merritt was elected to the board for a three-year term at the bank’s annual meeting.
Merritt has more than 35 years in banking, holding many positions including president and CEO of Mt. Washington Bank; president of Mt. Washington Bank, A Division of East Boston Savings Bank and executive vice president, East Boston Savings Bank. He also served as a member on the board of directors of East Boston Savings Bank & Meridian Bancorp, Inc.
“I am honored to join the board of trustees for Winchester Savings Bank and to have the opportunity to work once again with John. I look forward to working with the other board members and have a role in strategizing for the Bank’s future growth and success,” said Merritt.
Sixteen newly elected corporators, including Merritt were also introduced at the annual meeting. Corporators appointed were Diane Brinkley, Charles Connolly, Brad Cutting, Michael Dowley, Kevin Hall, Christopher LaGatta, Anne Lyon, Ronald Mauriello, Brendan Monahan, Michael Saris, Richard Saris, Matthew Sprang, Emily Trent, Carolina Trujillo and Christopher Twomey.
