Skanska awarded $40 million contract to <br>renovate Terminal B Garage at Logan Airport
Boston, MA Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, has been awarded a $40 million contract by the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) to repair and renovate the 250,000 s/f Terminal B Garage at Boston Logan International Airport. The planned repair and renovations will include improving the overall flow of traffic at the garage as well as improving drainage and lighting across relevant areas. Construction will occur while the airport and garage remain operational for visitors, staff, and passengers.

The project scope includes various tasks across all levels of the garage. On Level 1, the repairs will focus on transforming it into dedicated travel lanes and pickup zones alongside relocating taxi and shuttle stands to the curbsides. Level 2 renovations will include repositioning the limousine pool and executing roadway repairs. Throughout the garage, construction will encompass performing comprehensive structural repairs, lighting upgrades across relevant areas, relocating MEP/FP systems as needed, and improving stormwater drainage for newly elevated pickup zones.
Construction on Terminal B Garage will begin in the summer of 2024 and is expected to be completed towards the end of 2026.
