BOMA Boston Update: BERDO roundtable, BOMA Springfest, BOMI courses & summer events
Boston, MA BOMA Boston and the Energy & Environment Committee held the BERDO Success: What Do We Do Next? roundtable on April 30th. Moderated by Jim Kelly, commercial account executive, Mantis Innovation, attendees heard about the highs and lows of preparing to comply with BERDO. Panelists, John Marzec, director of facilities, Museum of Science; Ryan Easton, CEM, LEED green associate, senior director, engineering, Carr Properties; and Kevin Lubinger, energy efficient consultant, Eversource Energy, discussed what next steps must be taken past the low hanging fruit for your buildings to achieve net zero carbon emissions.
BOMI courses are in full swing with both Environmental Health & Safety Issues which kicked off on April 23rd and will conclude on Thursday, May 16th and BOMA Foundations which started on April 26th and will run every Friday until May 31st. In the fall, BOMA is also offering BOMI: The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part II and Real Estate Investment & Finance. BOMA Springfest is taking to new heights in 2024! This year’s BOMA Springfest will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at View Boston. Hosted by the BOMA affiliate companies, members can look forward to a night of networking on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Tower. The Annual BOMA Fishing Tournament will take place on Friday, June 7th out of Liberty Wharf followed by an awards luncheon at Tony C’s.
