CAI New England applauds volunteer leaders and industry professionals
Boston, MA At the Annual CAI New England (CAI-NE) Chapter Dinner and Awards Banquet, held March 15th, at the Boston Marriott Hotel, in Burlington, Mass., hundreds of condominium association board members, professional managers, and business partners gathered to recognize the industry contributions and achievements of peers and colleagues around New England.
The chapter congratulates all the award winners recognized and spotlights the decades long industry contributions of this year’s CAI-NE Hall of Fame award recipient David Barrett, CMCA, AMS, PCAM.
The CAI-NE Hall of Fame Award recognizes with the highest honor and distinction CAI-NE members who have throughout their career consistently supported and promoted CAI, the chapter, and the community association industry.
Barrett has been a CAI member for more than 20 years and an active CAI volunteer throughout his years of membership. He has attained several CAI professional designations including Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) - the highest professional designation awarded by CAI.
In addition to his many professional accomplishments, over the years Barrett has been involved in every chapter committee and currently serves as an active member of the seminar & conference committee and the ELN committee which he also co-chairs. He has served two terms on the CAI New England chapter board and several task forces over the years including the manager licensing task force, manager engagement task force and CAI-NE strategic plan update task force which he chaired in 2022.
In addition to his role as board member, committee/task force chair and/or co-chair he has held chapter offices for several years including CAI-NE Clerk and currently CAI-NE Treasurer. A staunch advocate for the common interest and multifamily industry, he is also an active IREM member and through his public policy work he communicates with legislators and other government officials on issues important to the industry.
