DSW, Inc. leases 15,000 s/f at Lincoln & Rose Shopping Center
Venice, CA According to Axiom Retail Advisors, DSW, Inc. has leased 15,000 s/f of retail space in the 75,00 s/f Lincoln & Rose Shopping Center, 201 Lincoln Blvd.
Stephanie Skrbin and Lea Clay Park of Axiom, along with managing director Bryan Norcott at Newmark, represented the landlord, Combined Properties. Nadia Gilmore, senior vice president of leasing at Combined Properties, negotiated the lease transaction on behalf of the landlord. Details of the lease agreement were not disclosed.
The tenant will be occupying what was a 99 Cents Only space in the Whole Foods-anchored shopping center. Tom Gyulay of Sage Retail Group represented DSW.
Park said, “DSW was looking for a long-term home in the Venice area where they can re-invest and continue to support their loyal customer base. The new location, adjacent to an incredibly successful Whole Foods, was a great fit.
The Axiom team was able to leverage their manpower and intimate knowledge of the surrounding area to create a competitive process through which all viable prospects were vetted and brought to the table as quickly as possible.
Skrbin said, “Strategizing closely with Combined, we were able to maximize rent, minimize downtime and attract a top quality, internet resistant co-tenant to the center resulting in the long-term stabilization of the asset. We are thrilled to see DSW continue its commitment to the Venice area and look forward to watching them thrive.”
