Bethlehem, NH After nearly a decade of stewardship by the Bedor family, the Adair Country Inn is now under new ownership.
The Adair Country Inn and Restaurant is now owned by Mark and Brenda Johnson. The Johnson family has been members of the community for over 40 years.
The Johnson’s said, “We look forward to continuing the legacy and stewardship of this storied property that the Bedor family so expertly cared for over the last decade. We are excited for this new chapter in our lives and equally excited to begin working with all of the outstanding Adair staff, led by innkeeper Stacey Rachdorf and executive chef Steven Learned. We undertake this endeavor as a family and hope to create lasting traditions for our guests, diners and family alike.”
The Bedors owned the Adair for almost a decade and now look forward to entering into their next act. Cathy Bedor said, “Joel and I are looking forward to focusing more of our time as active members in the community through our efforts with WREN (Women’s Rural Entreprenurial Network) and other area organizations. We know the Johnson’s will do a great job continuing the legacy of the Adair.”
The Adair Country Inn is steeped in history. The estate was built in 1927 by Frank Hogan as a gift to his only daughter, Dorothy Adair Hogan, when she married John Guider. In the last 30 years, the Adair was converted from a home to an inn and restaurant. The inn and restaurant are known for featuring a relaxed and inviting atmosphere while offering a locally inspired menu attracting guests for everyday dining or special occasion events like weddings, parties and more.
