NeighborWorks Housing Solutions raises over $265,000 at “Opening Doors, Changing Lives” Gala
Quincy, MA NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS), the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, raised more than $265,000 during its recent “Opening Doors, Changing Lives” Gala, held at Granite Links Golf Club.
More than 240 attendees participated in the Opening Doors Changing Lives Gala. Over the past few years, the event has developed from a simple evening to a fundraising experience that not only infuses fun into many aspects of the event, but also provides attendees with a meaningful experience that connects directly back to the mission, vision, and purpose of NHS. In addition to an incredible dinner, guests are treated to fun and engaging games and a photo booth during cocktail hour, a compelling program highlighting and celebrating the work done throughout the year, and a delightful dessert reception. Guests were also invited to participate in a one-of-a-kind silent auction with items curated and donated by many local businesses and restaurants.
The event concluded with a lively “Taylor Swift-themed” raffle that included three tickets to the Patriots vs. Kansas City Chiefs game in December. These tickets were generously donated by Jay Davis of Davis Law.
“We remain unwavering in our commitment to provide safe and affordable housing and are here to help people make powerful changes in their lives,” said Angelica Gomez, COO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. “The enormous success of our ‘Opening Doors, Changing Lives’ Gala stands as compelling evidence that our efforts are not just supported but enthusiastically championed by numerous corporations, small businesses, and individuals.”
Proceeds from the gala will support all the programs and people served by NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, including the development of affordable housing, rental assistance, emergency financial help, shelter and homelessness prevention, first-time homebuyer education and counseling, financial coaching, foreclosure prevention, affordable residential and small business loans, and construction and management of high-quality rental housing across southern Massachusetts. NEI General Contracting was once again the Partnership sponsor at the event and has been a true partner with NHS for a number of years. Other key sponsors were Curtis Construction and Bank of Canton, both of whom supported the gala at the platinum sponsor level; gold sponsors include Colonial Federal Savings Bank, Eastern Bank, Rockland Trust, Dellbrook JKS, Dedham Savings, and North Easton Savings Bank.
“A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, contributors, and everyone who came out in support of our mission, work, and this very important major fundraiser,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. “We are housing first responders, and your generosity helps to ensure that we can continue to be flexible and meet the needs of people in our community.”
