Timberline Construction Corp. honored with three 2023 Engineering-News Record's Best Regional Awards
Canton, MA According to Timberline Construction Corp. (Timberline), three of their recently completed projects were recognized as Engineering-News Record’s (ENR) Regional Best Projects earlier this month. ENR presented teams with these accomplishments at their awards event in Boston.
The three award-winning projects include:
• BJ’s Wholesale Club was honored with the Award of Merit for Interior/Tenant Improvement for the 2023 completion of their new headquarters. This relocation included an intricate, phased move-in plan with a successful flexible workspace featuring a grand reception and a first floor test kitchen dedicated to client-facing entertaining. In addition to BJ’s, the team included JLL (project management), IA (design architect) and Avid Engineers (MEP/FP engineer).
• bluebird bio received Award of Merit in the Small Project category. Given the construction took place in an occupied building in Assembly Row without access to a freight elevator, this project includes multiple creative ceiling designs and flexible space utilization. In addition to bluebird bio, the team included Federal Realty Investment Trust (building owner), JLL (project management), Jacobs (design architect) and NV5 Engineers (MEP/FP engineer).
• Union Mills 37 took home the Best Renovation/Restoration Project Award, recognizing the team’s purposeful renovation, restoration and repositioning of this old mill building into affordable and workforce housing in Attleboro, Mass. The project team included 37 Union St Attleboro, LLC (building owner), Trina Jerich (project management) and Davis Square Architects (design architect).
