Pelletier appointed chief administrative officer of Rhode Island Housing
Providence, RI Brett Pelletier, CRE, FRICS has been appointed chief administrative officer (CAO) of Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corp. (RIHousing). He was appointed by the executive director and CEO, Carol Ventura, on December 4, 2023 and will be responsible for physical and support functions of the agency, ensuring that the overall mission of RIHousing is fulfilled, and will be responsible for advancing corporate efforts in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Pelletier was elected and served three terms on the Tiverton Town Council (2010-2016) and joined Kirk&Co. in 2005, most recently serving as chief operating officer since 2016. Pelletier began his career as an intern in the Boston office of the late senator Edward Kennedy. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with minors in English and government from Bentley College, a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in finance from the Harvard University Extension School and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bryant University.
Pelletier is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is on ULI’s New England Housing and Economic Development Council, and is a member of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary land economics society. He has taught finance, economics, and real estate to undergraduate, graduate, and professional education students and is on the faculty of the Cummings School of Architecture at Roger Williams University.
