2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Michael Allen, Chapman Construction / Design
Number of years at firm: 1.3
One thing on my bucket list: One thing I have had on my bucket list for a while is to ski Tuckerman’s Ravine with my dad. It is one of those things we have talked about for a handful of years and have not gotten around to. He is a big skier so it would be very cool to do together. My goal is to do it in spring 2024.
When I am not working, I am: When I am not in the office or on a job site, I can be found at my local gym, hanging out with my friends and family, or on the slopes during the wintertime.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Frisbie Acute Rehabilitation Suite in Rochester, NH. This 10,000 s/f, $1.4 million project took four months to complete with a steadfast deadline for the faculty to receive funding and accreditation. We certainly had to hit the ground running on this project to meet our deadline, but through aggressive planning, coordination, and collaboration with the design team throughout construction, we were able to hit milestone after milestone and complete the project before the deadline. I can’t thank the project team enough for everything I learned along the way. (Justin Powers, Tracy Strong, Kevin Tavares.)
