Greenbuild Extracurricular Activities at the Conference:
October 15, 2008 - Green Buildings
In addition to onsite activities at Greenbuild there are educational and fun extracurricular opportunities that have been coordinated by the local Host Committee volunteers.
Green Building Tours:
One of the most exciting opportunities to take advantage of during Greenbuild is the Green Building tours. Half day and full day tours are offered and cover projects from healthcare to wastewater treatment facilities. Most of the tours will travel around the Metro Boston area and stop at multiple projects. Please visit www.greenbuildexpo.org to see the full list and sign up for a green building tour. Even if you're not attending the conference you can still sign up for a tour!
Offsite Educational Sessions:
In addition to the many onsite educational workshops offered at Greenbuild, USGBC also encourages attendees to take advantage of more in depth educational sessions coordinated and presented by local experts. Sign up to learn about Boston's Solar Powered green television studio, the city of Boston LEED requirements or how local K-12 schools are serving as teaching tools for students. For a complete list and to register visit the www.greenbuildexpo.org.
Outdoor Experiences:
We all know how tired we can feel after sitting at a conference for three days. Luckily at Greenbuild 2008 you can give your brain a rest, get some fresh air, be active while traveling around Boston. Host Committee volunteers have planned an array of outdoor experiences for Greenbuild attendees and the general public this year. Please note that even if you are not a conference attendee, you are more than welcome to sign up for these unique opportunities.
