Groom Construction opens Florida office in Naples
Naples, FL Groom Construction, Co., Inc., a premiere general contracting firm, announced that it has opened a regional office at 1250 Tamiami Trail North to meet the growing needs of its national retail clients. While Groom specializes in retail construction at a national level, they’re also a major player in the commercial, institutional and multi-family sectors, focused primarily in New England.
The Florida office is headed by senior construction director, Ed Vandeneng. He is joined by project managers, Caitrin Foley and Patrick Dennis, who have also recently relocated from our Salem headquarters, with plans for significant expansion in the near future.
Dwight Groom, principal said, “Over the past several years we had seen a steady increase in the number of projects we were managing throughout the southeastern U.S., particularly in Florida. Prior to opening the new location, we had already employed a significant number of superintendents and field staff in the market. We felt that having a physical location would make it easier to manage these projects more efficiently and collaborate better with our regional staff. Opening a Florida office was something we had thought about in the past, and it just felt like the time was right.”
He said, “With increased needs for general contractors to meet Florida’s record growth, the opening of our Florida office allows us to pursue additional opportunities with many of our long-term retail clients. Our additional office location outlines our strategic growth initiatives, particularly on the East Coast, which hopefully benefits our clients and enhances our national retail presence. We have already seen a marked increase in projects from clients such as Target, TD Bank, and JoAnn stores.”
Massachusetts-based, Groom Construction, Co, Inc. has steadily built a national reputation over the past 40 + years. Founded in 1979, their multi-market portfolio now includes a wide array of institutional and commercial projects spanning the national retail, academic, medical, corporate office, banking, multi-unit, mixed use, affordable housing and private residential sectors.
