Thru the Lens: Bulfinch participates in JP Morgan Corporate Challenge
Boston, MA The Bulfinch Companies participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, a philanthropic event held annually at the Boston Common. On Thursday, June 20, Bulfinch was one of 365 companies to participate in the event.
The JP Morgan Corporate Challenge is a worldwide series of 3.5 mile running events, open to groups of full-time employees from companies throughout the city. As a group-based event, no individual runners are accepted. Each runner records his/her individual time and is then organized into a group of four for their company. The lowest male, female and mixed (2 male/2 female) times are combined in the company’s efforts to achieve a top team performance and qualification for the Series Championship.
Bulfinch had five employees participate in the annual Boston event.
The Corporate Challenge takes place in 13 cities across seven countries and five continents, with the Boston event now in its 25th year. In 2019, 9,000 entrants from 365 companies participated in the Boston race, which sold out. Each year, JP Morgan implements sustainable operations initiatives, designed to make the Corporate Challenge the world’s greenest road race.
The Corporate Challenge strives to make donations to not-for-profit organizations in each host city. In 2019 in Boston, the philanthropic donation was made to The Every Child Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital for the third consecutive year.
“Bulfinch was honored to participate in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge and help support Boston Children’s Hospital,” stated Eric Schlager, CEO of Bulfinch. “This event is a great way for our team to come together to support not only an important cause but also one another.”
Giving back is a core principle at Bulfinch. The Bulfinch Team is encouraged to become involved in activities and philanthropy within our industry and in the communities where we work and live. The company is also involved with Building Impact as well as the Pan-Mass Challenge and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
