U.S. Pavement acquires property in Chelmsford
Chelmsford, MA U.S. Pavement Services Inc. purchased a new property located off Rte. 495. The property is an expansion of the company’s headquarters located in Woburn, and will become the main dispatch location for dump trucks and heavy equipment.
The new property is in a strategic location for U.S. Pavement’s team to better service their long-standing customers. The close proximity between the new yard and Aggregate Industries’ asphalt plant allows U.S. Pavement to access materials quicker and easier for job execution, and permits 24/7 paving capability, including Sundays. In addition, with more yard space and more room to operate, the company can be more efficient in daily production. U.S. Pavement director of production Seth McNary believes this will help the company expand in multiple ways. “This is going to allow us to branch out and be more competitive in this market and southern New Hampshire,” McNary said. “And with that, we will continue to attract new employees from these areas.”
U.S. Pavement senior vice president David Musto believes the expansion is positioning U.S. Pavement to work quicker and more efficiently to respond to customer needs. “Our customers will also see all the benefits that our operations are receiving from this,” David says. “We’re excited to see the cost savings and improved response times get passed directly to them.”
The full integration of this new location builds on the company’s history of in-house, self-performing crews providing unmatched quality and professionalism. This also facilitates greater partnering throughout the company’s service areas. “It’s really going to change the game for us,” U.S. Pavement Fleet Manager James Hope says. “This will allow us to not only build on the existing relationships we have with local vendors in the area, but to create relationships with vendors we don’t already work with.”
