Suffolk’s Dorcena Forry honored by UMass Boston
Boston, MA UMass Boston honored Linda Dorcena Forry, northeast region vice president for diversity, inclusion and community relations at Suffolk Construction, at its UMass Boston Community Breakfast.
Former state senator Dorcena Forry was presented with The Chancellor’s Award for Longstanding Community Commitment and Service. Interim UMass Boston chancellor Barry Mills presented the award. In her new role at Suffolk, Dorcena Forry will continue working on issues that have defined her years of public service, such as advocating for economic equality and opportunity.
She hopes to facilitate even more business between Suffolk and minority-owned businesses.
Linda Dorcena Forry is the first woman and person of color to represent the Commonwealth’s First Suffolk District. As vice president for diversity, inclusion and community relations at Suffolk, Dorcena Forry will continue her work to help provide opportunities for people from disadvantaged communities and continue Suffolk’s ongoing efforts to maximize diversity and inclusion.
