Tyre joins Amenta Emma Architects as senior associate in Hartford

Michael Tyre, formerly of his award winning firm Tyre Studio Architects, has joined Amenta Emma Architects as a senior associate. Tyre brings leadership and design talent to Amenta Emma and will focus on higher education and commercial projects.

At Tyre Studio Architects, Tyre was the leader of both an architecture and design/build practice, and the recent recipient of a 2014 AIA CT Design Award for the exterior renovation and transformation of Glen Lochen Mall in Glastonbury, and a 2012 Design Merit Award by the CT Green Building Council for the Centerpoint office building in Middletown. Prior experience includes serving as the key designer and project manager for the Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin, TX, winner of an AIA NY Design Award and AIA TX Design Award.
