HMFH Architects to study renovation or new construction options for Dover (NH) High
April 16, 2015 - Construction Design & Engineering
The city of Dover selected HMFH Architects to conduct a feasibility study evaluating whether the current Dover High School and the Regional Career Technical Center should be rebuilt or renovated. The existing campus, which totals 220,000 s/f, houses both schools and serves a combined 1,700 students. Work on the study is underway by HMFH.
"As the educational needs of 21st Century high school students continue to shift and evolve, the opportunity to link creative, hands-on educational experiences with preparation for success in science and technology professions is becoming more and more clear," said Laura Wernick FAIA, a senior principal of HMFH Architects and project director for the study. "We are excited to be working with the Dover educational community to explore new ways to integrate hands-on learning within the school system's exceptional academic programs."
