Shawmut Design and Construction hires Surette as director of the health care and life sciences division

Shawmut Design and Construction, an $850 million national construction management firm, has hired David Surette as its new director of the health care and life sciences division.
At Shawmut, Surette will be responsible for overseeing all Health Care and Life Sciences operations. As the key owner liaison, he is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction in all aspects of the project as well as monitoring project schedule and budget. Surette will also work on expanding existing client relationships and developing new partnerships within the industry.
Surette comes to Shawmut with experience as a senior level executive in the health care and life sciences industry. In his 25 year career, he has led a successful division and executed large and technically complex projects. His portfolio includes the 1.1 million s/f Center for Life Sciences in the city's Longwood Medical Area and Harvard Medical School's 720,000 s/f New Research Building.
