December 5, 2013 - Front Section
Galaxy Development has just completed two new freestanding retail stores on West Boylston St. Advance Auto opened a new 7,000 s/f prototype store and Family Dollar opened a new 9,100 s/f store.
The site was formally occupied by Grossmans Bargain outlet and is surrounded by many national tenants such as McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts and Burger King. It is also close to Super Stop & Shop, Price Chopper and a Walgreens that Galaxy built on the same street six years ago.
The two new buildings bring the total number of retail stores Galaxy has built for national retailers in the Worcester County to 13 over the last seven years, with another five currently under construction in the Webster, Mass. area.
Michael Jacobs of Glickman Kovago was the broker for the Family Dollar lease, and Brian Roache of Atlantic Retail was the broker for the Advance Auto lease.
Financing was provided by Hometown Bank of Oxford, Mass. Attorney Larry Brodeur of Fletcher Tilton represented Galaxy for the purchase as well as permitting.
Pat Doherty of MidPoint Engineering & Consulting was the civil engineer for the project.
Aho Construction completed the Family Dollar building and Coastal Construction built the Advance Auto store.
Galaxy Development is located in Auburn, Mass. which is in Worcester County, and continues to aggressively seek retail opportunities in this area of New England.
