Residential Properties sells land for $7.8 million
December 13, 2012 - Rhode Island
A portion of the unequaled oceanfront property known as Seaconnet Point Farm has sold for $7.8 million. This is the highest property sale in Little Compton this year. The transfer to the new owner consists of two separate parcels on Washington Rd., titled Watch House and Carriage House for the structures on the land. Judy Chace of Residential Properties Ltd. sold the property.
The combined lots occupy 16.25 acres on the southwestern most tip of Little Compton. Privacy is buffered by 46 protected acres. Watch House's 11.7 acres boast a wholly private white-sand beach, a coastal pond, and a building site set 260 feet from the sea on a broad and level lawn over granite, perched above the 500-year floodplain with commanding views in all directions. Carriage house is the next contiguous land up Washington Road away from the ocean.
Of the Farm's 74.6 acres, 45.9 have been placed in permanent conservation with easement to these properties.
