August 2, 2012 - Owners Developers & Managers
Acentech Inc., a multi-disciplinary acoustics, audiovisual systems design, and vibration consulting firm, has completed consulting work on the new corporate headquarters of Dassault Systèmes, located at 175 Wyman St. Acentech provided architectural acoustics, soundmasking system coordination, and mechanical system noise and vibration control for Dassault's 225,000 s/f North American headquarters.
French software firm Dassault consolidated its North American workforce in an office designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects. The new corporate headquarters includes closed and open office space, a variety of meeting rooms and glass-enclosed collaboration spaces, a fitness center, and a training facility with operable partitions. Acentech advised on the type, coverage, and zoning of the electronic sound masking system that serves all office spaces to enhance speech privacy and to promote a productive environment in open work areas.
Acentech's services in sound isolation, room acoustics, and mechanical system noise control particularly benefitted spaces that support Dassault's innovative software research and development. These spaces include a virtual reality cave, an audiovisual recording studio, and a briefing/conference center.
Owned and operated by Hobbs Brook Management, the base building for the 175-185 Wyman St. office complex was designed by Margulies Perruzzi Architects and built by Columbia Construction Company.
The LEED Gold certified office complex is located at the foot of the Hobbs Brook Office Park.
