Remember When? July 11, 1969

Filene's broke ground recently for its 270,000 s/f warehouse in the Inner Belt Industrial Center. The building will house the warehousing and service functions now located in the retailers Needham warehouse and their downtown store. Participating in the ceremony (shown from left) are: Russell Cox, president, Linnell & Cox, executive agent for the center; Ralph Pendery, president, Filene's; Francis Grummere, vice president; Robert Anderson, construction manager; William Ford, vice president, Linnell & Cox; and Donald Manzelli, contractor.
