Bates joins Erland

Scott Bates has joined Erland Construction as director of project development. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a seasoned construction executive with a strong background in marketing, business development, and project management.
In this position, Bates will be responsible for Erland's strategic planning, marketing strategy and business development efforts throughout New England and work to increase the company's penetration into various new market sectors. Prior to joining Erland, Bates held leadership roles at Tishman Construction Corp. of New England, where he was instrumental in securing over $3 billion worth of projects since 1997 and helped build their presence in the New England market.
Bates received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colby College and a Masters of Business Administration from Babson College with a concentration in marketing and operations management. He is also an adjunct professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
