New England SIORs start 2011 with 798,234 s/f of deals valued at $26.4 million

The New England SIOR Chapter members operated the start of 2011 with a number of major advisory and transactional assignments. Corporate America and regional tenants indicated that the SIORs are the "premier" brokers in the commercial/industrial New England real estate markets whom they entrust for expert knowledge and skills. During the beginning of this year the deals totaled 798,234 s/f of commercial real estate valued at $26.4 million. Congratulations to all the New England SIOR members in these recessionary times!
* John Hennessey, SIOR of Thompson Hennessey & Partners represented Cengage Learning in three sub-subleases totaling 26,517 s/f at 25 Thomson Place. The sub-subleases were with Boris FX, MetroLacrosse and the Tom James Co.
* Tom Farrelly, SIOR of Cushman & Wakefield represented Farley White Manchester LLC in leasing 3,500 s/f at the Bank of America Building, 1155 Elm St., Manchester. The office lease marks the relocation of Renesy's headquarters office.
* Gerry Suprenant, SIOR of MG Commercial has sold a 128,000 s/f industrial building at 79 Walton St. in the N. Attleboro Industrial Park. Located on 9.4 acres and renovated in 1987, the property was purchased by a realty company which will lease the property to Stergis Window and Doors Manufacturing. Suprenant also represented G-Form, LLC in its subletting of 4,162 s/f at One Davol Sq., Providence, R.I. Suprenant also sold a 78,750 s/f corporate headquarters building at 330 Swansea Mall Dr., Swansea for Webster Bank. The sales price was $3 million.
* Derek Losi, an SIOR candidate, of UGL Equis represented Stevens Advertising Associates in its lease of 2,019 s/f of office space at 330 Congress St.
* Jim Boudrot, SIOR, Evan Gallagher, SIOR candidate, and Mike McCarthy, SIOR candidate of NAI Hunneman Commercial brokered a 50,470 s/f new corporate headquarters lease for Resonetics at 44 Simon St., Nashua, N.H. Boudrot, along with McCarthy and Gallagher, also brokered a 37,207 s/f office sublease at One Wall St., Burlington. They represented Openwave Systems, Inc., the sub-landlord. They also represented Marine Polymer at 24 NEEP, Burlington in an office lease for 7,047 s/f.
* Jeremy Freid, SIOR of Boston Realty Advisors represented the seller in the sale of 33 East St., Winchester, a 10,000 s/f building.
* Arlon Brown, SIOR of Parsons Commercial completed a build-to-suit sale of a 6.87 acre property located at 67 Green St., Foxborough. Maltz Sales Co. acquired the site from Construction Planners for a 30,000 s/f build-to-suit industrial building. Arlon represented Construction Planners.
* George Paskalis, SIOR of MG Commercial R.E. Services represented the landlord in the lease of 22,960 s/f of warehouse to Blue Cross Blue Shield at 100 Dupont Dr., Providence, R.I.
* Don Mancini, SIOR of Kelleher & Sadowsky represented SouthWin Ltd. in its lease of 82,050 s/f of warehouse space at 272 Nashua St., Leominster.
* Jim Elcock, SIOR, and Bill Lynch, SIOR candidate of Colliers International leased 2,638 s/f of office/R&D space to American Bioanalytical in Natick. Elcock also partnered with SIOR candidate John Dolan in the lease of 9,000 s/f of office space to F-Squared in Newton at One Newton Executive Park.
* Mark Stevens, SIOR of The Stevens Group represented Mystic Brewery in its lease of 12,865 s/f at 174 Williams St., Chelsea. The newly leased property will serve as a Belgian-style micro-brewery.
* Brendan Daly, SIOR candidate of NAI Hunneman Commercial represented Insight Performance in its renewal of 3,822 s/f office lease at 990 Washington St., Dedham.
* Frank O'Connor, SIOR of NAI Dunham Group represented Buffalo Wild Wings in its lease of 5,900 s/f of retail space at 600 Turner St., Auburn, Me. O'Connor also leased 3,432 s/f to New England Denture Center at 730 Center St., Auburn, Me.
* Tony McDonald, SIOR, of The CBRE/Boulos represented Cengage Learning in its lease of 8,638 s/f of office space at the Hathaway Creative Center, Waterville, Me.
