New England SIOR board meets at Coach Grille on Dec. 14th
January 9, 2008 - Spotlights
The New England SIOR board met at Coach Grille on Dec. 14, 2007, to plan its 2008 goals and objectives. Directors present included: Ned Leeming, Garry Holmes, Jim Nicoletti, Mark Stevens, Bob Cleary, Greg Klemmer, Rob Nahigian and Tom Farrelly. The new 2008 Chapter officers were announced and are as follows:
* Mark Stevens, president
* Greg Klemmer, vice president
* Tony McDonald, clerk
* Tom Farrelly, admissions chair
* Jim Boudrot/Ned Leeming, co-chairs, programs
* Rob Nahigian, public relations
A decision was made to separate the vice president position from the treasurer's position. The Chapter now has 62 members and the new members during 2007 again include: Peg Carlson of Colliers International, John McKinley of Kelleher & Sadowsky, Vantage Builders (affiliate member), and STAG Capital Partner (affiliate member).
The meeting commenced with the treasurer's report. The treasury remains strong but had some chapter sponsor expenses including the Chapter Scholarship Program and the Landlord Breakfasts. It was decided to offset those expenses to continue the annual Chapter dues which were set at $150 per SIOR. In addition, due to the popularity of the Featured Landlord breakfast, many attendees were non-SIORs. SIORs are granted one complimentary guest but it decided to charge other non-SIORs a nominal fee to offset the Chapter costs. The programs would now be open to non-SIORs who want to attend. There is a list of developers and landlords that want to sponsor the SIOR Featured Landlord breakfast that should also cover our agenda for 2008 and 2009.
Programs were discussed for 2008.
