Striving for excellence in construction
November 18, 2010 - Construction Design & Engineering
Even during the toughest of economic times, the members of ABC Massachusetts constantly strive for excellence in all they do. For our companies, excellence is not just an end goal; pursuing it every day is a way of life, as is exemplified by this year's Excellence in Construction Award (EICA) winners.
We are proud to have 13 award winning projects that demonstrate the diversity, versatility, and craftsmanship of the merit shop contractors that make up our association. From public safety facilities, to veterinary isolation wards, to wind turbines atop Mount Wachusett, this year's award winning projects represent a wide spectrum of construction excellence.
In an effort to recognize emerging talent in the area of sustainable construction, ABC will also be presenting three "ABC Green Awards" for the second year in a row to project teams who delivered expert craftsmanship that was also environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
Despite the fact that the construction marketplace is not as strong as we would like it, it is incumbent on our industry to take a moment to stop and recognize the great work being done by the men and women of the merit shop community. This year's award winning projects will have posters displayed in the Design Gallery during the Build Boston exhibit at the Seaport World Trade Center. We urge you to take a moment and stop by to learn more about these projects as part of your Build Boston experience.
Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. will hold our official EICA Reception on November 18th at the Seaport World Trade Center. This year's reception will be sponsored by CTA Construction Co., Inc., the General Contractor on three of this year's award winners. You can register for our reception by visiting our homepage at www.abcma.org.
