Charbonneau named vice president of community/public relations for BankNewport

According to BankNewport president and CEO, Thomas Kelly, Kathleen Charbonneau has been appointed to vice president, community relations and public relations. Charbonneau began her career at BankNewport in 2000 and has held various positions, most recently serving as assistant vice president, community relations and public relations. She is responsible for the bank's community and philanthropic programs, media relations, and executes special events for bank customers and employees.
Charbonneau earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Bryant University in Smithfield. She received a master of science in business administration from Providence College.
She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America/Southeastern New England Chapter, the Newport County Chamber of Commerce and Newport Partnership for Families.
