The 33rd New England Economic Development Course will be held at the Clarion Hotel September 13th - 16th. The professional development program is presented by Thomas College and Economic Development Council of Maine.
The course is sponsored by Central Main Power, an Energy East Company, hosted by Maine Dept. of Community Development and accredited by the International Economic Development Council.
It will focus on five major themes: Development concepts, current trends and their influence on the local program, skill development, program implementation, and factors affecting development programs.
Instructors include: Dr. Charles Colgan, USM Center for Business & Economic Research, Portland; Richard Kelso, CecD/FM/HLM, president, Economic Mgmt. Services, Augusta; Steven Levesque, executive director, Micoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, Brunswick.
