Haggerty of Vision 3 earns LEED certificate
December 13, 2007 - Rhode Island
Ryan Haggerty of Vision 3 Architects has completed the United States Green Building Council's certification requirements to become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. Haggerty's achievement brings the number of LEED Accredited Professionals on Vision 3's staff to six.
LEED is a national standard developed by the United States Green Building Council that provides a comprehensive framework for assessing building performance and compliance with environmental goals. The standard emphasizes strategies for sustainable site development, water efficiency, energy performance, material selection, and indoor environmental quality. The LEED Professional Accreditation exam certifies that a professional within the design profession has demonstrated their understanding of green building practices and principles, as well as proficiency with LEED specific requirements, resources, and processes.
LEED Accreditation of staff members strengthens Vision 3's ongoing commitment to provide responsible, creative, and sustainable design solutions through implementation of design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact buildings can have on the environment and occupants.
Ryan joined Vision 3 Architects as an Intern Architect in January 2006. He received a Bachelors Degree in Architecture in 2005 from Roger Williams University, Bristol, Rhode Island.
