Sebago Technics enjoys many long-term relationships with clients, including L.L. Bean, Inc., with whom Sebago Technics has worked steadily since 1992. To promote their Outdoor Discovery Program, L.L. Bean chose Sebago Technics to design the site for a major expansion of their flagship store in Freeport. Sebago Technics also created a naturalistic Maine landscape that serves as the new entryway. The expansive entry plaza doubles as a location for the display and demonstration of products. Another L.L. Bean project involved the completion of the company's distribution facilities and Order Fulfillment Center at its Desert Rd. Campus. The full build-out of the site includes 1.2 million s/f of building area. The project is a model of environmentally sensitive engineering design. The stormwater runoff treatment systems were designed to meet stringent design guidelines set forth by the State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Casco Bay Estuary Project, removing pollution from the site using an innovative series of drainage structures, wet treatment ponds, and native plant materials. The site master plan also includes an extensive nature trail network. Recently Sebago Technics provided professional services on the L.L. Bean Data Center. Due to the complex nature of the project the building design and site planning went through rigorous scrutiny and design considerations. The Data Center is a LEED Silver Certification project and employs many "green" site and building amenities.
