Phelan joins Avison Young as an associate in the Boston office

Boston, MA According to Michael Smith, Avison Young principal and managing director of the firm’s New England region, the company has hired commercial real estate professional Taylor Phelan.

Effective immediately, Phelan becomes an associate in the company’s city office, specializing in advising tenants and landlords in the urban market.

“We are thrilled to have another talented young professional join the Avison Young team,” said Smith. “I am confident that Taylor’s previous skillset will prove to be a valuable asset. We look forward to her success in our industry.”

Prior to joining Avison Young, Phelan spent two years at TA Realty in the accounting department. She assisted the controller and portfolio-management team with producing financial statements and strategizing ways to maximize internal rate of return (IRR). Before joining TA, Phelan worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the real estate division of audit and earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

“I am pleased to join Avison Young’s extremely talented and well-known leasing professionals,” said Phelan. “I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the culture of the company’s team-oriented structure and the philosophy of always putting the client’s needs first.”

In April 2018, Phelan ran the Boston Marathon for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and is still active in raising money for the charity. She is also a member of Tomorrow’s Women TODAY and the Council for Women of Boston College.
