Peter Steffian, 76

Peter Steffian, FAIA, age 76, passed away on May 27. Peter was an architect who became principal and chairman of Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA), the firm founded in 1932 by his father, Edwin Steffian. During his 50 years in practice, Peter designed, planned, and managed many building projects. His portfolio includes 808 Memorial Dr. in Cambridge and the Devonshire, a 42-story downtown building. Peter held many leadership positions within the architectural community, including service for a decade on the board of overseers at the Boston Architectural College. Peter was also a board member and president of the Mass. Board of Registration of Architects for 17 years through which he became a director, officer, and president of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
