Perkins of the Boston Restaurant Group named NM-CIBOR Realtor of the Year

Wendy Perkins, co-owner of the Boston Restaurant Group in Boxford, has been named Realtor of the Year by the Northern Mass. Commercial-Investment Board of Realtors (NM-CIBOR), which represents Realtors from more than 80 cities and towns from Newburyport to Burlington to Athol. The award is the highest honor that NM-CIBOR can bestow upon one of its members and recognizes service to the Realtor organization at the local, state, and national levels, contributions to the real estate industry, charitable and civic activities, and business accomplishments. The award was presented to Perkins at the association's recent membership breakfast at the Radisson Hotel. A resident of Boxford, Perkins is president of NM-CIBOR, chairing its board of directors and executive committee, and serving as a member of the finance committee. Last year, she served as the association's president-elect and a member of its board of directors, chairperson of its membership and nominating committees, and as a member of its executive and finance committees. Perkins also currently serves as a member of the Mass. Association of Realtors (MAR) board of directors and this year attended the MAR Realtor Day on Beacon Hill and Leadership Training programs. She is also a past president of the Northeast Association of Realtors in Chelmsford — formerly the Greater Lawrence and Greater Lowell Boards of Realtors — where she has volunteered as an ethics instructor at monthly new member orientation for more than 20 years. At the national level, in 2007, Perkins attended the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Leadership Summit in Chicago, and this year attended the NAR Midyear Legislative Meetings & Realtor Days on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. She is also a donor to the NAR Realtors Political Action Committee and is a past member of the NAR Board of Directors. Active in civic and community affairs, she has served as chairperson of both the Boxford Historic Districts Commission and Boxford Historical Commission since 2001. Her business accomplishments include traveling around the U.S. with her husband and firm's co-owner, Charles Perkins, speaking and providing presentations on selling and appraising restaurants. Perkins was honored at the recent MAR Annual Convention in Worcester along with the other 15 local association Realtor of the Year honorees from across Massachusetts. NM-CIBOR is the only Commercial Board of Realtors in Massachusetts, and will soon be renamed the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Massachusetts (RCA-MA) and expanded statewide.
