Peck of Arnold Peck Realty receives Kapusta Lifetime Achievement Award

Arnold Peck

Stratford, CT Arnold Peck has received the Kapusta Lifetime Achievement Award from the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce on January 25, 2024. It is part of the Annual Awards Gala held each year. This year was held at the Riverview Bistro, the location of the former Fagan’s Restaurant formerly owned by Peck.

The Kapusta Award is named in honor of a visionary leader in Milford’s history and is given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and lasting impact in both business and community service.

Peck has had a career spanning decades and consistently demonstrated the values of innovation, community engagement, and leadership. His influence extends beyond the real estate business realm, as he has actively contributed to the betterment of Milford and its surrounding communities through philanthropy and civic involvement. These include Boys and Girls Village, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the United Way, the American Cancer Society, and the Heart Foundation.

When Peck began his real estate career fifty years ago, he started with the philosophy that there is always a new opportunity.

At an early age, Peck started his uphill climb by renovating an old house in Milford. He then went on to specialize in the rehabilitation of beach cottages on the shoreline. He has been credited with the revitalization of the tri-beach area of the city. Peck continued to rehab small buildings and sell residential properties as a licensed agent.

In 1967, he founded his own company, Arnold Peck Realty. He trains his associates to work as though they are running their own businesses. He sets the pace for his staff by being decisive and encourages them to be inventive and creative.

They follow in the footsteps of a man who wakes up each morning asking, “What can I achieve today that I didn’t achieve yesterday?” As one leading bank said, “His leadership and company growth in the past ten years has been truly outstanding.” Peck has been named the ‘Real Estate Man of the Decade’ in Southern New England.

Peck holds membership in the following organizations: Connecticut Developers Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, Connecticut Economic Research Council, New Haven and Fairfield County Home Builders Association, Orange Chamber of Commerce, and Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce. In addition, The National Association of Realtors, and the Connecticut Association of Realtors. Peck has attended for the past 40+ years the ICSC events held in Las Vegas, New York, Boston, and Hartford, CT.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
