Peck joins Kaplan Construction as senior project manager

Nathan Peck, LEED AP has joined Kaplan Construction as a senior project manager. Peck will also contribute to Kaplan’s business development efforts. With more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Peck has filled a wide range of construction roles throughout his career. “Nate is committed and dedicated to his projects’ success and client satisfaction, one of our utmost goals at Kaplan Const., and I am pleased to welcome him,” said Ken Kaplan, founder and president of Kaplan Const. Previously, Peck served as a senior project manager for Turner Construction, where he ove saw projects including Microsoft’s entry at One Cambridge Center, as well as the building’s interior fit-out; the Mass. General Hospital Paul S. Russell, M.D. Museum of Medical History and Innovation; the Genzyme Allston Landing facility expansion (Phase II); and two projects for the New England Aquarium, the Marine Mammal Center and the off-site holding facility. During his time at Turner Const,, Peck excelled as a project manager and acquired the nickname “Switzerland” from colleagues for his ability to calmly negotiate difficult or political situations. “Nate demonstrated a great deal of knowledge regarding the status of all trades, and was adept at anticipating problems and suggesting practical solutions,” said John McManus, AIA, principal of McManus Architects, Inc. of his experience working with Nate on the New England Aquarium Marine Mammal Center. Peck is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.
