Parr, Patrylak and Brousseau of BVH achieve PE certification

Bloomfield, CT Three BVH Integrated Services, P.C. employees passed the certification requirements to become professional engineers. Dylan Parr and Ashley Patrylak, civil engineers, and Gregory Brousseau, a mechanical engineer, are now licensed professional engineers in the state of Connecticut. To become licensed, engineers must complete a four-year college degree, work under a professional engineer (PE) for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams, and earn a license from their state’s licensure board.

“I am proud to congratulate three BVH employees for receiving their Professional Engineer licenses. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to earn this licensure. Dylan, Ashley, and Greg have worked diligently in their positions, giving them the experience needed to succeed. I look forward to seeing them progress in their careers at BVH,” said Karl Frey, CEO.

Dylan Parr joined the BVH team in June of 2013 after graduating from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Dylan’s time at BVH has provided him with a strong foundation of many engineering concepts, which Dylan was able to apply towards his exam. He is currently working on several projects on the Central Connecticut State University campus, including Barnard Hall, Kaiser Hall Athletic Center, the new Engineering Building, and renovations and additions to Willard and DiLoreto Halls.

Ashley Patrylak graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and joined the BVH team in August of 2013. In addition to preparing for the PE exam, Ashley has also completed her Master of Science in Construction Management, providing her with additional knowledge and skills to allow her to excel in her career at BVH. Her notable projects include UConn’s Utility Framework, the UConn Student Recreation Center, and the University of Notre Dame Campus Crossroads project. 

Gregory Brousseau graduated from the University of Maine in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and joined BVH soon thereafter. BVH has given him the experience necessary to not only pass the PE exam, but also work on a wide range of projects. Greg’s notable projects include the Pratt & Whitney World Headquarters Building, Eastern Maine Medical Center’s New Inpatient Tower, and the Asnuntuck Community College Tower Lobby.
