O’Brien joins The Cooperative Bank as mortgage loan originator

Roslindale, MA The Cooperative Bank (TCB), a full-service community bank specializing in commercial real estate and business lending throughout Eastern Massachusetts, has hired Barbara Scanlon O’Brien as mortgage loan originator.

In this role, O’Brien will utilize TCB’s well-developed network in the bank’s CRA lending area to generate qualified residential mortgage business. O’Brien will support the strategic goals of the bank by representing TCB in various community-based activities, all while staying aware of local real estate trends and developments.

“Being active in the community that we serve is core to who we are at TCB,” said Phil Bryan, president and CEO of TCB. “I am excited to see how Barbara’s vast amount of community experience in the Greater Boston area will help expand TCB’s presence in the local community.”

Prior to TCB, O’Brien served as assistant director for the early education and care program at YMCA of Greater Boston and previously held roles in the Boston Public Schools and Charles River Acre Nursery School. O’Brien currently resides in West Roxbury.
