North Branch Const. to begin fire stations in Londonderry and Warner

Central Fire Station, Mammoth Road - Londonderry, NH

Concord, NH North Branch Construction has been serving as construction manager to the towns of Warner, Londonderry, and Newbury over several months to provide pre-construction services including estimating, pre-bond marketing initiatives, and assistance at town meeting presentations for the upcoming fire station projects in these towns. At recent town votes, bonds were approved for both the new Warner Fire Station and the addition and renovation of the Central Fire Station in Londonderry.

Warrant article #2 asked the town of Londonderry for $6.4 million worth of improvements to the existing Central Fire Station located on Mammoth Rd. The addition and renovation will provide the station with two additional apparatus bays, a separate decontamination room, expanded training and EOC space, a secure dispatch facility, and HVAC systems upgrades. Port One Architects is providing design for this project, with construction scheduled to start later this summer.

Fire & Rescue, West Main Street & Spit Rock Road - Warner, NH

Warrant article #4 in the town of Warner requested $2.75 million for the new Warner Fire Station, to be located at West Main St. & Spit Rock Rd. The fire station will consist of a one-story, 4,770 s/f administration wing and a 5,300 s/f apparatus bay, which will provide space to house all of the fire department’s apparatus vehicles. A new, separate decontamination room will be located just off the apparatus bay. SMP Architecture has already provided design and construction documents for this project, so construction will begin this spring.

Ask the Electrician: How do I prepare my commercial building for a disaster?

New England’s notorious weather – from fierce winter storms to summer squalls and fall hurricanes – can leave businesses in the dark.
