North Branch const. manager for 13,500 s/f Rodgers Memorial Library

Roof trusses have been put in place for the new George and Ella Rodgers Memorial Library. The new 13,500 s/f facility is being built by construction manager North Branch Construction, Inc. and was designed by Adams and Smith LLC. The funding for the project was donated by Phillip and Alvin Rodgers in honor of their parents George and Ella Rodgers, long time residents of the town. The new building consists of a structural steel frame with wood trusses. The exterior of the building will feature a stone veneer which was incorporated into the design to carry the look of the fieldstone exterior on the old library to the new. Construction of the $3.7 million library will be completed in the early spring. North Branch was also the construction manager for the award winning, $7.8 million, Silver Level LEED Certified Portsmouth (NH) Public Library.
