North Branch completes steel at Laconia Central Fire Station

North Branch Construction has completed the erection of structural steel for the new administrative portions of the Laconia Central Fire Station on 848 North Main St. Concrete slabs, exterior metal framing, envelope systems, and light gauge metal-framed roof trusses will begin in the upcoming weeks. Construction includes the renovation of 13,200 s/f of the existing two-story CMU block and steel framed building and the addition of an 13,000 s/f, two-story steel-framed building with brick and PVC trimmed façade to house new administrative offices, dormitory facilities, an Emergency Operations Center training facility, and additional vehicle storage. Through North Branch's coordination, the fire station remains in full service throughout the extensive renovations. Construction is on track to be complete by December. Design for the project is provided by Warrenstreet Architects.
