West Warwick, RI According to The Arpin Charitable Fund , its Ninth Annual Arpin Strong Golf Tournament/Bob Sullivan and Mark Dearborn Memorial was a success, raising $27,509 for charity; an impressive $247,500 over nine years. The Arpin Charitable Fund, also known as Arpin Strong, is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes an ESG commitment that is global in scope. Its overarching goal is to advance transformative solutions to social and environmental issues.

Arpin Strong’s board members were thrilled to host one of the largest fund-raising events on September 29 at the New England Country Club. The annual competition aims to raise awareness and charitable investment in the tournament’s primary charity beneficiaries. This year’s event raised funds to aid the Global Institute For Transformation, KCNT1 Epilepsy Foundation, The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain, and Marguerite’s Place.

“These four incredible organizations represent the heart of our mission, and we’re proud to have been able to assist them, expressed Arpin Strong’s President/Treasurer, Michael Killoran.”

We were privileged to have representatives from several charities present, and during tournament play, we had the opportunity to interview them. Our first interview featured two families representing the KCNT1 Epilepsy Foundation. We also spoke with a representative from the Global Institute for Transformation (GIFT).

This year, our golfers came from all corners of the country—some even traveling from as far as California to be part of this special event. Although Mother Nature had other plans, and the day started with rain, the golfers were determined to hit the course. Despite the initial downpour, our dedicated players eagerly embarked on their rounds, driven by their passion for golf and the cause. Unfortunately, the rain intensified, forcing the groundskeeper to call off play. However, this setback didn’t dampen our players’ spirits; they spent quality time networking and enjoying themselves at Egan’s Pub at the New England Country Club, eagerly awaiting our celebratory banquet and raffle.

“Arpin Strong is incredibly grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, donors, golfers, dedicated volunteers, and friends who continue to support us in our mission,” said Arpin Strong’s Vice President, Karen Bannon. “Without these incredible individuals, organizing an event of this magnitude would not have been possible.

Arpin Strong wishes to thank all its sponsors, particularly Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses, Citrin Cooperman Accountants & Advisors, Arpin International Group, Courtney International Forwarding, The Mellor Agency, Delight International Movers, Ferry International LLC, JVK, UNIRISC, and Move One, all of whom where Platinum-level sponsors of the annual event.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
