New Boston Fund secures 45,615 s/f lease for Sun Products at Trefoil Corp. Park

According to New Boston Fund, Inc., a real estate investment, development and management firm, The Sun Products Corp. has signed a 15-year lease totaling 45,615 s/f at 30 Trefoil Dr. The building is located in Trefoil Corp. Park, a New Boston-owned portfolio of five office and flex buildings. In order to accommodate the needs of Sun Products, the building, which was built in 1988, is undergoing a complete renovation and reconstruction. Sun Products will occupy the entire building, and will move 50 employees into the new facility by late 2009. Sun Products will use the facility for research and development and for testing and quality control for its line of laundry detergent products. "In this economic climate, we are thrilled to have secured a long-term lease with a premiere tenant that will occupy the entire building at 30 Trefoil Drive," said Bill Fenn, vice president and regional asset manager of New Boston Fund. "This provides our portfolio with tremendous stability and adds significant value to the investment due to the extensive renovations that are currently underway at the property." Tom O'Leary from Cushman & Wakefield represented New Boston in the transaction and Gregory Frisoli also from Cushman & Wakefield represented The Sun Products Corp. "30 Trefoil Dr. offered Sun Products the rare opportunity to lease an entire building within close proximity to its employee base and its Wilton headquarters," said Frisoli. "This not only marks one of the largest deals secured in Fairfield County this year, but it also continues to confirm the attractiveness of Fairfield County to those corporations seeking access to a highly-skilled labor pool. It's a bit of great news for the local economy."
