New England Land Title Association (NELTA) is one of the title industry’s premier resources for education, information and networking. Organized in 1970, NELTA is currently comprised of nearly 400 members from each of the six New England states. Our membership includes title insurance underwriting companies and corporate abstract companies; real estate attorneys and corporate title agents; bankers, land surveyors, abstractors and others in businesses directly related to the title industry.

NELTA members continue to vigilantly monitor the legislative issues affecting our industry and work to protect their interests. NELTA members stay abreast of their profession by their involvement with other practitioners who share the same concerns and face the same challenges and know the enormous value that membership affords by enhancing their professional careers.

NELTA members stay up-to-date on the latest industry issues with Spring and Fall educational programs. Many of our new members hear about NELTA through the educational programs we put on throughout New England. The NELTA Education Committee will be meeting over the summer to work on locations new programs for the fall so be sure to check the NELTA web site at www.nelta.org for information and registration forms.

NELTA will hold its 47th Annual Convention on the waterfront at Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth on Cape Cod, Mass., from Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, June 19. On Friday and Saturday mornings join us as we hear from talented, nationally-known speakers at our educational programs:

Attend our Friday Sessions: “Data Security: The Laws, Rules & Regulations and ALTA’s Best Practices” with Christopher Gulotta, Esq., founder & CEO, Real Estate Data Shield, Inc., and learn how to educate consumers and promote your business with “ALTA’s Homebuyer Outreach Program” from Awesta Sarkash.

Wondering about trends in the business environment? Attend our Saturday Sessions: “ALTA Update” with ALTA president-elect Daniel Mennenoh and “The Outlook for Real Estate and the Economy” from Stewart Title’s chief economist Ted Jones.

Can’t make the entire weekend? New this year: a One Day Pass is available offering a reduced one-day registration fee to attend the seminar sessions on Friday or Saturday morning.

Annual Convention NELTA members and their families get together for three days of fun and professional development at our annual convention in June of each year.
